What is The Woman In The Yard about?
Ramona (Danielle Deadwyler) becomes seriously injured after surviving a car accident that kill her husband (Russell Hornsby). Fighting through grief, she cares for her 14-year-old son (Peyton Jackson) and 6-year-old daughter (Estella Kahiha) on their family farm.
One day, the children spot a woman (Okwui Okpokwasili) dressed in all black sitting in the yard. Initially, she seems harmless. Where did she come from? What does she want? When will she leave?
Ramona assumes she’s lost or demented and pays her no mind. That is, until she delivers a chilling warning, “today’s the day.” As the woman creeps nearer and nearer to the house, it becomes clear she is no ordinary figure. Furthermore, her intentions are anything but peaceful. Soon, horror follows. As a result, she must protect herself and her children from a woman who won’t leave them alone.
