Well I’m not the guy to kiss and tell, but I taught ladies plenty. Can’t get enough of that theme song. Based on the 80s TV series, Colt Seavers is back in action in The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
WHAT IS THE FALL GUY ABOUT?
Originally played by Lee Majors, The Fall Guy, follows stuntman, Colt Seavers (Gosling). Like other stuntmen, Colt gets blown up, hot, crashed, thrown through windows and falls from great heights. Unfortunately, one stunt goes horribly wrong and he has almost a career-ending accident. Without work, he takes a job for a new movie. But there’s a catch. While filming, he must track down a missing action star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and solve a conspiracy of the film’s setbacks. In turn, this could also help him win back his love, Jody Moreno (Blunt).
While the movie may have similarities to the series, there are a few differences. In the series, Colt Seavers has a side hustle as a bounty hunter to make ends meet. Also, in the series, Jody (Heather Thomas) is not his love interest. She is his partner in his bounty hunter business. Finally, Colt unwillingly enlists the help of his nephew, Howie Munson (Douglass Barr). However, Winston Duke (Black Panther) portrays his sidekick in the film.
Hopefully, we will see some throw backs in the film. Seavers iconic truck, hearing the theme song and some surprise guests would be nice.
Recently, Universal Studios announced that the film received the first-ever “Stunt Designer” credit from SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and DGA (Directors Guild of America) to honor stunt performers and their stories. In fact, at the film’s premiere, the stunt team wowed fans by bringing all the action to the red carpet. Fans can watch the stunt show live at Universal Hollywood Studios until May 19.
WHAT IS THE FALL GUY RATED?
Because of strong language, moderate violence and mild nudity, The Fall Guy is rated PG-13.
