Star Trek: Discovery

As the seventh Star Trek series, Star Trek: Discovery, is the show many have wanted for years with galactic voyages, time travel, aliens and conflicts within the crew. Along with Captain Janeway, a new female lead, Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), is the captain of Startfleet ship, U.S.S. Discovery.

WHAT IS STAR TREK: DISCOVERY ABOUT?

Created by Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek was initially introduced in the 1960s. Made famous by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, the show followed Captain James T. Kirk and his First Officer Spock as they traveled the galaxy to explore strange new worlds on the U.S.S. Enterprise. Taking place 10 years before Captain Kirk, Star Trek: Discovery, follows a Starfleet ship on their quest to explore new worlds and lifeforms. The crew of the U.S.S. Discovery, must learn that to understand the aliens they encounter, they must first understand themselves.

During the first season, war has erupted with between the Federation (the head of Starfleet) and Klingon Empire (an alien species). With impending doom, the crew discovers strange red signals that could be the key or the end of their future. Discovering the signals were left by an unknown being called the Red Angel, their goal is to unravel their meaning and origin. In doing so, they set off on a new mission with the U.S.S. Enterprise. In the fifth and final season, the U.S.S. Discovery along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation.

Currently, the last four seasons of Star Trek: Discovery can be watched on Paramount+, Prime Video, CBS All Access and Prime Video with Paramount+. The fifth and final season will air on April 4, 2024. In the meantime, watch the trailers for seasons 3, 4 and 5 below.
