Orphan Black: Echoes
Eleven years after the original comes a new group of women whose genetic connection is questioned in the spinoff series, Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter.
What is Orphan Black: Echoes About?
Set in the same universe as its predecessor, Orphan Black: Echoes, follows Lucy (Ridder). Upon waking up from a mysterious procedure, Lucy has no memory of who she is and why she’s there. Along side her are a group of women in the same situation she’s in. The only person that help her figure things out is…her clone.
Set in the near future, cloning technology has reached new heights and Lucy is at the center of it. As lab experiments, she and the other woman embark on a journey of self-discovery and try to find their place in the world. While unraveling the mystery of their identity, they uncover a story of love and betrayal.
The series has big shoes to fill. The original Orphan Black, starring Tatiana Maslany became a cult phenomenon. So much so that the show had a fan club known as the Clone Club. Along with critical acclaim, the series earned a Peabody Award in 2014. But the show does have some help. Executive producers from Boat Rocker return to produce the new series. In addition, the co-creator and writer, Anna Fishko, worked with co-creator John Fawcett, who directed 17 episodes in the original series.
What is Orphan Black: Echoes Rated?
Although the series has not been rated, the series will most likely be rated TV-MA due to adult situations, language and nudity.
