Making his directorial debut, Dav Patel, unleashes inner beast, well monkey, in the film Monkey Man. This is a first for Patel since he directed, co-wrote, produced and stars in the film. Along with producer, Jordan Peele, the film inspired by the legend of Hanuman brings a new flavor to the action genre.
WHAT IS MONKEY MAN ABOUT?
If you are not familiar with the legend of Hanuman, it is a deity in Hindusim. Otherwise known as the God of Wisdom, Strength, Courage, Devotion and Self-Discipline. In the new film, Patel’s character, Kid, embodies these attributes. Due to his mother’s death, he must survive. In doing so, Kid makes a living in an underground fight club wearing a monkey mask to make ends meet. After years of suppressed rage from fighting night after night, he discovers a way to take revenge on his mother’s death. He infiltrates a group of corrupt leaders in the city’s elite. While in the process, he becomes a champion for poor and powerless these leaders exploit.

HOW TO WATCH MONKEY MAN?
Monkey Man will arrive in theaters beginning April 5, 2024. Beginning June 11, the collector’s edition with all new bonus content will be available as well as 4K Ultra HD, Blue-Ray and DVD on June 25th. In addition, the movie will stream on Peacock on June 14.
