As a successful late night talk show host, Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian), competes with Johnny Carson. Despite the success of the show, Night Owls With Jack Delroy never lands on top.
But production comes to a halt when Jack’s wife dies of lung cancer. Ultimately, he returns to the show without the same success as before. In order to recover his ratings, he decides to do a special Halloween episode on October 31, 1977. Among his guests are a psychic, former magician, a musician, a parapsychologist author and her subject. To further the ratings, the studio decides to document the behind-the-scenes of producing the episode.
While giving cold readings, the psychic, Christou (Fayssal Bazzi), receives a premonition about someone name “Minnie” and is left shaken. Skeptical, Jack plays along revealing “Minnie” is the nickname of his late wife. It’s the first sign of things to come. Seeing the increase in ratings during the commercial break, Jack urges the author, June Ross-Mitchell (Laura Gordon) to summon the devil. Using her subject, Lilly D’Abo (Ingrid Torelli), as her guide, Lilly soon becomes possessed. Chaos ensues as everything in the studio goes horribly wrong.
