It’s the time in your life when your emotions run wild. While you’re not a kid any more, you’re not quite an adult yet. And that feeling brings own new emotions you’ve never experienced before. The dreaded teenage years. Now, at age 13, the emotions inside Riley will need to make some space in the new Pixar film, Inside Out 2.
What is Inside Out 2 About?
In the previous film, Riley tries to adapt to her new environment as her family relocates to another city. Told mainly from the inner workings of her mind, the five emotions literally act out what she feels and how to react to those feelings. Now, Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear and Disgust have to make room for some new emotions as Riley enters her teenage years.
For kids, the sequel will serve as a preview of their teenage years as you experience even more emotions than before. As adults, you’ll take a trip down memory lane to your days in middle school and high school as Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui (boredom) and Envy make their introduction.
As Riley turns 13, Headquarters undergoes a sudden demolition to make room for these new emotions. While they aren’t sure how to feel about them joining the crew, they make due. However, as Riley begins to navigate the complex world of adolescence, things begin to change. Even though Joy and the others try to help Riley re-stabilize emotionally, Anxiety takes over her brain. They fight for control as Riley tries to figure out who she is, her friendships, her family, school and other things most teenagers deal with.
