We learn that family is stronger than fear when the lives of your loved ones are put on the line in the new Nicolas Cage creature film, Arcadian.
What is Arcadian About?
Taking a page from A Quiet Place, Arcadian takes place in the not too distant future. After the Earth has been decimated, life on the planet has not been the same. Revolving around a father, Paul (Cage) and his twin sons, Joseph (Jaeden Martell) and Thomas (Maxwell Jenkins), they have adjusted to their new life on their family farm.
During the day, they live a normal, peaceful night. But night is a different story. Each night after the sun sets, the family faces unrelenting attacks from mysterious, violent creatures. To remain alive, they baracade their home and do their best to keep the creatures from entering their home.
One day, Thomas fails to return home before sundown. Fearing the worse, Paul leaves his fortified home in search for his son. As soon as they find him, the family finds themselves in a battle for survival. In order to make it through the night, they must execute a desperate plan proving family is stronger than fear.
After making its world premiere at SXSW, RJLE Films picked up Arcadian. “Arcadian is an instant knockout. Michael Nilon’s script deftly balances between the riveting thrills of a creature feature and the hopeful heart at the core of Paul’s family, played to perfection by Cage, Martel, and Jenkins.” said Mark Ward, Chief Acquisitions Officer of RLJE Films.
