Presumed Innocent

What is Presumed Innocent about?
The eight part limited series is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow. In the series, Rozat “Rusty” Sabich is a prosecutor and the right-hand man of district attorney Raymond Horgan (Bill Camp). When his colleague, Carolyn Polhemus (Renate Reinsve), is found raped and murdered in her apartment, Raymond insists that Rusty take charge of the investigation. Contrarily, Rusty, a married man, faces a conflict of interest as he had a brief affair with Carolyn. Even though the affair was over and he reconciled with his wife, Barbara (Ruth Negga), he still has feelings for Carolyn.
At first, the investigation is leaning towards someone else as the prime suspect. Soon things take a turn for the worse when Rusty is accused of her death. As a result, he seeks to clear his name while holding together his family and his marriage. According to Apple TV, the series “explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love”.
