The face hugging Xenomorph is back to feed in the latest chapter of the Alien franchise, Alien: Romulus. Going back to its roots, this film is setting up to be more like its predecessors Alien and Aliens.
WHAT IS ALIEN: ROMULUS ABOUT?
Taking place sometime in the future, Alien, follows a crew aboard a commercial space ship en-route back to Earth. While on their way home carrying a load of extraterrestrial ore, they receive a distress signal. When the ship arrives, all hell breaks loose. The follow up movie, Aliens, jumps to fifty-seven years later. The lone survivor of the crew, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is on a mission to save a young girl from a merciless Xenomorph and return back home.
Otherwise known as Alien 5, Alien Romulus is set between the events of Alien and Aliens. Although not too much is known about the plot, the film follows in the footsteps of its predecessor. According to the official description, “While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”.
WHAT IS ALIEN: ROMULUS RATED?
Currently, Alien: Romulus has not been rated yet. Since the previous films were all rated R, the film will most likely be rated R.

Expect Alien: Romulus to arrive in theaters on August 16, 2024. While no streaming date has been set, the film could land on Hulu after its digital release.
