It’s been nearly 30 years since we last saw the fast-talking Detroit cop, Axel Foley. Now, he’s heading back to 90210 for an all-new adventure along with both new and familiar faces in the Netflix movie, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
What is Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F about?
According to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Axel Foley is still doing what he does. Although, he is wiser with age, he still have a twinkle in his eye. As we can see from the trailer below, he is still up to his same tricks. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the old banana in a tailpipe gag. But seriously, it’s good to see Eddie Murphy again and the rest of the crew from the 80s.
In the film, Foley arrives back in Beverly Hills after his daughter, Jane (Taylour Paige), life is threatened. As a criminal defense attorney, she has uncovered a conspiracy that could topple the city. While in town, he teams up with a new partner, Detective Bobby Abbott, who is also Jane’s ex-boyfriend. Joining them are his old pals Lieutenant Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Sergeant John Taggart (John Ashton). In both trailers, we see Serge (Bronson Pinchot) who still refers to Foley as “Achwell” and Paul Reiser as Jeffrey Friedman. As with the previous films, it’s going to be a fun ride.
