Usually, the beginning of the summer Blockbuster movie season is filled with action. Besides a few movies such as Bad Boys: Ride or Die and supernatural thrillers The Watchers and A Quiet Place: Day One, June will be an emotional month.
Unlike previous years, many of the movies this month come from independent production companies with hopes of bringing movie goers back to theaters. Film such as Tuesday, Longing and Treasure will tear at your heartstrings. On the other hand, there are a few that tackle it with humor such as Inside Out 2 and Thelma.
Also new in theaters in June, is a new western from Kevin Costner. After debuting at the Cannes Film Festival, the story of epic Western drama will span over four films. Set during the Civil War through the eyes of families, friends and foes as they discover what it means to be an American.
