Apple TV+ has a very busy month ahead with several new and returning shows. Not to mention, a new documentary that will arrive in theaters a week before its streaming debut. At the same time, other shows like Manhunt and Palm Royale are set to finish during the month.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming to Apple TV+ in April 2024.
Loot (Season 2) – April 3rd
Maya Rudolf returns as Molly Wells in season two of Loot. Taking place a year after her public divorce to tech billionaire John Novak (Adam Scott), she is thriving in her new role in life. She and her executive director Sofia Salinas (Michaela Jaé Rodriguez) swear off men to focus on themselves. But things don’t do as planned when Sofia meets Molly’s a charismatic architect friend, Isaac (O-T Fagbenle).
Sugar – April 5th
New to the line up is Sugar. Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, a private detective recently hired to investigate the disappearance of Olivia Siegel. As the granddaughter of a famous Hollywood producer, Jonathan Siegel (James Cromwell), this is a high profile case. As Sugar tries to find out what happened to Olivia, he uncovers family secrets that threaten the family’s reputation.
Girls State – April 5th
From the creators of the documentary, Boys State, comes a new documentary featuring the young women in Girls State. In this political coming of age story, young female leaders across Missouri gather for a week long immersive experiment to build a government from the ground up including campaigning for office and forming a Supreme Court.
Franklin – April 12th
The new eight part limited series starring Michael Douglas, Franklin, is based on the book, A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America, by Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff. Although famous for his electrical experiments, his passions lie elsewhere. With the fate of American independence hanging in the balance, Benjamin Franklin sets off on a secret mission to France to help win the Revolution.
Jane (Season 2) – April 19th
As a 9-year old budding environmentalist, Jane is on a quest to save endangered animals. User her imagination, she takes her best friends David and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world.
The Big Door Prize (Season 2) – April 24th
In The Big Door Prize, a small town has been changed by a mysterious device promising to reveal their true potential. Now, the machine readies the people of Deerfield for the next stage. Instead of seeing their potential, they see visions. Left questioning what they thought they knew, some attempt to discover the purpose of the machine.
